Having a problem with one pc running phone manager lite. When the PC first boots up and phone manager starts it opens up as phone manager (unlicensed) (user) but none of the users speedials show and the user has to login again before these show (however missed calls etc do not return)

I thought this may be a corrupt profile issue so have deleted profiles and tried again but same thing happens once profile is created. I then uninstalled phonemanager, deleted profiles and reinstalled (tried associating install with a user and without) but no luck.

I have seen a thread on here reguarding early versions of phone manager doing this but does anyone know how to resolve this issue with 4.1.17 PM? System is a IP500 on 4.1.12

Thanks

old threads regarding matter(didnt help though)

The previous threads refer to phone manager pro yet this user is set to lite in manager.

user has mentioned that she gets a win32 error occasionally on her pc which she didnt get before she had phone manager installed. is this relevant?

Is it a laptop ?
Because I have seen similar problem when PM autostarts without being able to connect with IPO which happens when you take your laptop out of office.

no its a pc but interesting that you relate it to not being able to connect to the IPO.

I have a feeling it is a connectivity issue between the pc and IPO. just seems strange that its only the one pc. proving it may be difficult.

No, I didnt personally and dont believe it would have been done. However the windows firewall is off so shouldnt be required, right?

Can't hurt to run it though, and when dealing with Mr Gates you never know!!

Had this issue once when Phone manager was in autostart.
Had to start it with a cmd-file located in autostart and that first command was to wait 30 s.
Think there is a timeout issue, phone manager don't get an answer in time and therefor says unlicensed

can someone remind me where i get the firewall bathc file from please?

Does this pc has a static ipadres or by dhcp ?
If static is the gateway right ?

I have seen this when not using some subnets, we use 255.255.252.0 which the IPO flags as a warning spoken to AVAYA and they accept that its a bug.

Doesnt effect the system too much but on occasion it has caused the Unlicensed message to show up.

Ive removed PM from startup and the user is currently testing by waiting for the pc to fully boot up before starting up. Hopefully that should be enough of a resolution.

As far as I am aware they are using a class c subnet. I will check this if there is still an issue though.

Thanks all
