Is there a way to dial a long distant phone number and include the account code? I am using an IPO406 V2.0.16 (?) with a PRI. I currently set up a speed dial using 91(area)Office-number# and then I have to dial the account code on the phone directly. If I try adding the long distant code to the speed dial the call will initially fail with "incompatible" displayed and subsequent attempts will not do anything. (I need to successfully dial a number before the "incompatible" comes back)

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

J

Jason,

I am assuming your clec is making you use a long distance code. Try this:

Create a user short code for long distance, then in the tel. # field, after the N put D then the account code for that user. The D waits for a connection then sends the account number in DTMF.

& if D doesnot work try using Y instead it does the same thing but waits for a procede msg instead of a call connect msg.

Thanks, I'll work on the user short codes.

I am waiting on the techs to get back, would this work?

Short Code: (9)1xxxxxxxxxx#xxxx
Telephone Number: XXXXXXXXXXX#DXXXX
Line Group ID: 0
Feature: Dial3K1

I don't want my long distance code to be included automatically (I think that is what dizzy was doing). I want it to be entered intentionally. Yes, that would be inconvienent but, if someone else uses my phone they will have to enter their own code.

Thanks,
J
