If someone could help me with this I would be very thankful. I have a new Partner ACS V6 with 2 incoming lines and 8 extensions. When an incoming call is picked up at the extension, the caller ID number dials out loud in the handset. The person on the other end can not hear it, but my entire office can. It happens on all handsets.

If an incoming call is answered between the 1st and 2nd rings, the audible signal that contains the caller ID info will be heard.

If this is indeed what you are hearing answering the phone on the 3rd ring will resolve the issue. [smile]

I am going to try this. I have auto attendant set up at the second ring. I am going to change it to 0 rings. I will let you know if it solves the problem. Thank you for your input.

Another option, depending on how the office wants to handle incoming calls, would be to have the auto attendant pick up on the 3rd ring. That way you will be sure to see the caller ID info appear on the displays. [thumbsup2]

the caller ID number dials out loud in the handset.

By this, do you mean that you hear Touch Tone digits when you first lift the handset, or you hear a momentary screech of modem tone??

How about Hunt Group 7. Do you have more than just the voice ports in hunt group 7? Wouldn't you hear the dtmf tones between the processor and the voicemail in an instance where a physical phone is inadvertantly programmed into the hunt group?

How about Hunt Group 7.

That's exactly what I'm getting at above, when I ask what is being heard, DTMF or CID. Unfortunatly, lumon8ter hasn't been back to help fill in the blanks.
