Hey,

*MIND BLANK*

I would like to know how to say, save a whole heaps of names in a txt file (security does not matter) with the phone numbers...and then import them into a label when the Enter key is pressed for a certain name..

eg ... the txt may look like this

Leigh 1234567
Greg 6758482

How do i get it to look for the names in the txt file and then bring up just the numbers on a label?

eg.(on the form)

Name: Leigh *enter is pressed*
Phone Number: 1234567 *appears on the label*

Cheers

It somewhat depends on the specifics of a few items. If the text file has a FIXED format (a-la you sample), you could just read the text file into a collection or UDT array and set a combo box to look at the collection. In the after update of the combobox, have the seperate textbox display the phone # part of the line.

Since the sample is rather short , I doubt it will be QUITE that simple.
