We have a phone (lobby phone) that was configured to ring to another extension as soon as you pick it up. (not sure of how it was done, we had a vendor program it) I think the phone that performs the hotline type dial isn't functioning properly, so I want to replace that phone. When I do this, the phone does not auto dial to the next extension. Is there somewhere else in CM where this is configured. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Eric

In call manager configuration replace the old phones' MAC address with the new phone MAC (as long as they are the same type).
Or you can put the new phone in the same calling search space as the old phone it will auto dial.

To answer part of your question, this programming was probably done using a blank translation pattern. Look for a translation pattern that matches on nothing and then translates it into the hotdial number. That's the easiest way to pull off this little trick.
