Phone Access Code

hi,
i'm using CCM 4.0 & i need to put an outbound access code on the phone in which users must enter the code prior to the call being made?

And i used the following solution but it didnt work
[I created a Route Pattern contains the 'Auth Code'.
So If the Auth Code is 12345, the RP created is 912345.XXXXXXXXXX
In this way, all phones can still 'Dial 9' but unless you know the Auth Code, the call won't proceed.
but in my case, it doesnt prompt for me to enter an authentication code.]


The remaining part of the solution that i dont understand is as follows:
[We Use the Extension Mobility to accomplish this in CCM 3.3. When the phone is 'normal' I restricted dialing with a CSS that couldn't dial outside except 911. When the phone is 'Logged In' with Extension Mobility it could dial out normally with the proper CSS in the Device Profile. The Supervisor just needs to remember to Log Out when they hang up.]

Forced Account Codes are setup in FAC configuration in CCM.

In the route pattern you place a check mark on the required forced authorization code box.

Only then will you be prompt the enter the FAC number.

It is not placed in the actual route pattern....

FAC doesn't appear in CCM 4.0. Upgrade to CCM 4.1 or above to get these codes.
 
Per Cisco's SRND for 4.x it should work.

Now I do not have a 4.0 to check but I wonder why Cisco would leave it out....

I don't have a 4.0 system anymore either but I seem to remember a customer who wanted these codes and we had to upgrade them to 4.1 to get them.
