I have a system with (2) 30 Phone expansion modules. When the entire system loses power. The Expansion modules come up with a flickering amber/orange light on the front LED. I have never seen this before. The modules never sync up with the control unit even when the control unit boots all the way up. I can get the modules back on line by power cycling the modules manually via power cord. They then come up solid red, then solid green, then flashing green (I believe that they are looking for the control unit at this point). I then power cycle the control unit, and at about mid boot, the modules go to a solid green, and everything works OK when the control unit boot up completely.

System status shows expansion link failure when the modules power up with the weird flickering lights.

System is basic edition, began at 11.0 and had the issue, I upgraded to 11.1 with so success in resolving the issue. Tried replacing the control unit, also downgrading the system to 10.1.5 and no luck.
*I am using the patch cords that came with the expansion modules.

Did it ever work? I don't do much with Basic. I do know it is limited in the number of extensions. Also. The flickering is the module upgrading the firmware.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

Nothing worked yet. Distributor is sending new Phone 30 Modules to see if it fixes the issue. they supposedly set up and bench tested with basic mode/essential to see if it made a difference. I didn't hear back on that so hopefully it's the modules. we will see in a day or so when the module arrive and I swap them out.

The replacement Phone 30 modules fixed the issue. Both were bad somehow. the new ones booted up properly!
