Phaser 8550 ghosting problem

I am having problems with ghosting while duplex printing with my Phaser 8550. The problem began showing up in the last 200 sets of a print run of 1350 copies of a 6 page document (3 duplexed sheets letter size). Even after replacing the maintenance kit and running the remove print smears routine, the ghosting still persists.

Any suggestions?

Non-Xerox ink will do this and so will a maintenance cam shaft with cracked cams

The camshafts are a good bet 020K14800 and 008K02160.

You can only verify the crack by taking them out of the chassis. Even minor cracks are a growing problem.
