I have an 8550 (used to have the 8400- I'm enjoying the faster connection) that is connected via an ethernet cable to the one computer. Ethernet cable is my only option.
Please direct me to the correct place if need be- not sure exactly where to post this.
My dsl is connected via a usb cable. Again, just the one computer.
The router being used is solely for the printer/computer etherenet cable. This is not connected in any way to the dsl modem.
I now need to unplug my dsl when I go online (laptop on desk- easy to do, but annoying). There is simply no connection or my connection gets lost eventually.
If I am online, I have no problems printing. The problem is only one way in that the printer always works while the modem is sensitive to the printer being connected.
Using WinXP and a Qwest Actiontec wireless modem.
I'm just not sure where to start to correct this.
Thanks.
Nick
