My phaser 850 makes this clanking sound and shuts down and reboots if I try to print more than 10 copies at one time. If I print one copy it works fine. Sometimes during the clanking sound I try to cancel the print job but the buttons are frozen and do not respond so I do a manual shut down. Has anyone had this problem before? What is going on?

I seem to be having the same problem, Mine started with the printer jamming @ the exit cover, so I put some tape on the latch on the right side, which fixed that problem but has left me with the same problem you have. I suspect it is some sort of a timing problem. I too need any help on this matter, thanks in advance.

Ian for downunder.

Look at the transfix gear and see if the key hasnt busted.

Has the dm clutch been updated? (It will be black with a red plastic adapter instead of the grey with a white adapter.)

Also put a piece of electrical tape under the flap of the transfix soleniod. The tape goes over the foam piece which in time becomes sticky.
