Phaser 850 memory upgrade benefits?

Are there any benefits to upgrading the Phaser 850's memory other than increased print speeds?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that increasing memory in the 850 also increases the max resolution (or increases it in photo mode). Is that right?

The only way to get the features such as 2 sided printing and photo mode activated is to install the upgrade firmware DIMM. Increasing the memory will only get you the benefits of increased processing time which will speed up the printing.
