Can somebody give me some information on Phaser 850 error 19,002.47

It reaches about 65% during warmup then shows the error on the display. The network browser display shows the printer in red with the status as "Engine Failure". I suspect nothing much is happening in the way of heating as during the 10-15 mins it takes to get to 65%, I cannot feel any warm air coming out the vents, and there is no ink in the tray. (I have power cycled about 8 or 9 times with the same result) A short answer would be handy but would really appreciate some assistance with repair. Has anyone found somewhere to download a service manual? Have I bought an expensive paperweight or is there a simple fix? The online help page does specifically mention this error but only offers 1. power reset then 2. call service tech. I have done a lot of searching through forums etc but cannot seem to find anybody else having 19.xxx problems.

A little background info - I have only recently purchased this printer 2nd hand. I have printed approx 20-30 pages, all printed perfectly. The printer has been switched off for a few weeks, then added new (Xerox) ink & printed a few more pages, then on standby for a few days. It seemed to have some trouble coming out of standby then printed a couple of blank pages. Now it has died. I was very happy with the speed and quality but am now rather concerned as many of the posts refer to horror stories about the cost of service calls. I have an electronic service background but not much experience with printers (yet!!)

This error refers to the printhead calibration. Either the wrong printhead is installed or the printhead electronics has failed. The electronics include the printhead itself, power control board, power supply or the the data ribbon cable that connects from the power control to the printhead.
