Phaser 8400 Turns on by itself!! 1

This is driving me & my wife crazy. My Phaser 8400 turns itself on when ever it wants. This happened shortly after I bought it. A Service person came in and replaced the E PROMS. Worked fine and now a year later it's doing the same thing. Does anyone know or heard about this problem? Does anyone have a fix. Sure...I could call Xerox and buy another warranty policy for $400.

Hi,

Go into the menus and you will find a warm-up and stand-by settings. Make sure that your options are set to "job activated". Job activates will cause the printer to warm up when you send it a print job. The other two options "Intelligent Ready" and "Scheduled" will cause the printer to warm up on it's own.
