Phaser 8400...Printing from QuickBooks 1

Computer running WinSE, QuickBooks Pro (not sure of version). Hooked up to Phaser 8400. QB won't print to the postscript printer...is asking for a PCL. Is there a PCL driver available for the 8400? Xerox has them for Win2K and XP, but not 98. Is there a generic driver we can use?? Really don't want to upgrade the OS on this machine...it is working Great as it is...but will if I have to.

You could try the Xerox Docuprint NC60 or C55 driver from (

http://www.officeprinting.xerox.com).

This is, as far as I know, the only PCL 5C (PCL version 5, color) driver available from Xerox. It probably won't give you the extra options as print quality / tray selection / etc that you would get from the proper driver. But it should work.

Alternatively try to find a PCL 5C driver from a different manufacturer somewhere on the internet.
