Phaser 8400 collate issue

I have one Vista computer that will not collate when printing to our 8400. I have the identical computer, Dell T3400, 4gigs ram running Vista Ultimate and can print collated print jobs to the same printer. I have been able to print collated jobs from XP, Mac OS X and several flavors of Vista.

We have deleted and re-installed the driver, tried all availible drivers, installed as a Network printer and local printer using a tcp/ip port. No luck, I can setup a HP printer on the computer in question and print collated. But that is not a solution as the HP is in the back of the building and the 8400 is next to the user.

Updated information - I have been working with Xerox tech support who at this point decided it is a Microsoft issue.
I went into the advanced tabs in the printer dialog boxes and unchecked the collate tab, so only the application I was printing from was selecting collate. Clicked apply and then printed - no such luck, it still did not collate.

I re-checked the settings and it had checked the collate box. I think Xerox tech support may be partially correct, but I also beleive their Vista approved driver marginally supports Vista
