I picked up a Phaser 840 super-cheap (free) and I am trying to clear up a few codes.
05.002.42:63769
which I have found out means "y-axis failure" which means the drum is in the wrong position. I just replaced the drum drive belt which had lost a LOT of its teeth, could i get some help with whatever i need to do to realign the drum to the proper position??

no clue.

any help guys?

Did you ensure the y-axis pulley assy is tensioned correctly? Make sure the drum encoder disk is not rubbing on either side of the sensor it runs between. The error code 22,700.02 means there was a stall in the transfix stage. You can also check to see if the transfix solenoid is sticking. Is paper being picked and fed? If so where does it stop?

no, it does not feed paper. it doesn't get that far. it errors out adn stops during warm-up.
unfortunately i don't have any technical manuals, so i don't even know where the transfix solenoid is.

The transfix solenoid is on teh upper right side of teh printer, it is attached to a metal bracket and is teh only solenoid on it. The solenoid catches the white cam that sits under it. The drum encoder is on the other side and has a disk in a black housing with a clear face that turns with the drum. Make sure teh disk is not rubbing on either side of the sensor it rides in.

thanks for your help marty. i'll take a look at that and see if that is the problem.
