thread723-1207309 this thread was very helpful. It brought my printer back to life. I checked the my collar is blue, so that was not a problem. The problem was the solenoid. I removed the panel very carefully and cleaned the arms (very sticky and oily) and put a piece of tape on the back of the solenoid as the thred said. things went back to normal.
