Hi,
I have a huge problem with my Phaser 8200 and have checked everything I can think about.
After printing two pages I get a 07,005.47 error. I checked everything I found in the forum. I cleaned the y-axis motor, checked if the pins of the maintenance kit are worn out and I disassembled the DM clutch. Nothing helped. I found out the following things:
- I am able the print two pieces of paper, it doesn't matter if I print single or duplex. I can print 2 pages single and 4 pages duplex.
- It doesn't matter from which paper source I print. The problem is the same if I print from the internal tray, the additional tray of from manual paper feed.
- It doesn't matter if I pause between the pages.
- It doesn't matter where the printing job comes from, PC or internal demo prints.
I did all the checks of the diagnostic mode with the following results:
- sometimes, but very rarely, I get faults during exercising the y-axis motor and the y-axis encoder
- I always get a fault during the paper path drive check. The fault occurs after staging media and transfix
I think the problem must be in the paper path. But where?
Defect sensor? Permanent defect or does the printer check the sensor only every second paper?
I don't think that the y-axis motor or encoder is the problem, because the problem only depends on physical papers and not on pages.
Hopefully that anybody has a idea what the problem is or what additional checks I could do.
Thank you very much for any idea,
Reinhard
