Hello,

The error 09.005.40 refers to the cyan ink stick being stuck, but we have checked the ink sticks and made sure they are not jammed and that there are no little bits of ink that are not melting in there.

Does anyone know why this messege still appears?

Also the users have been using 3rd party ink sticks, could this be the reason for the error to come back?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Hello again,

We have managed to fix the original fault and before we found the previous problem we had changed the power supply because the old power supply was faulty.

The printer now keeps restarting itself. It gets as far as 80-90% and then restarts. Has anyone got any idea what this could be?

The power supply we used to replace the old one is from a scrap unit.

I have seen the power supply duplicate the power cycling you describe, also the printhead. Use the dipswitch in the back to put the printer in diags, dip switch #1 down then turn power on. Check the thermals to see if they are turning on. Engage all the motors, solenoids and clutches to see if one will shut the printer down when it is engaged.
