Phaser 780 is leaving a small patch of the print job without wax?? I think?? The ink smears in this small patch and it seems to repeat on the page position for the most part. What part might be cleaned and or serviced?

Thanks

You can try cleaning the fuser rollers either by running the internal cleaning pages and/or manually by hand using alcohol. My experience has been that once what you are seeing occurs it will return probably within 10 printed pages after cleaning. If that happens you will need to replace the fuser assy, cost is about 800-900 bucks. It is simple to replace but costly.

What is the distance between the repeating marks? You can find out what the diameter of the roller is that is causing this problem (but I suspect it's a fuser problem).

About three inches. In a landscape job the marks are only present on the right half of the job, middle of page about three inches apart ..

thanks
