This looks like a similar problem to the one posted under thread723-1436484 but there didn't seem to be any response so I don't know if they got this fixed or not.

This is a new imaging unit that simply will not slide out of the printer. It is not caught at the front at the counter chip and I have taken the printer apart so I can get into the imaging unit area from the LHS door but I cannot get it out. It does move about an inch and then stops. Also when the lift arm is down this unit seems to "rattle around" in the slot - up, down and side to side - whereas all the other units do not.

Any ideas??

It sounds as if you have bent the rail that the imaging unit slides into. I can not tell you how to remove the imaging unit other than seeing if the rail is bent and reforming it.

So if it is a bent rail how do I un-bend it or do I need to get a new one and any idea how horrendous this is to do? Given that the unit is jammed I can't really work out the best way to get at it and as I am in Belize a Xerox engineer is not really an option!
