on small jobs ,m/c ok .but on large runs 50 plus a thumping noise comes from fuser area when duplexing and causes occasional jams in fuser . fuser looks ok to me .. any suggestions , please .. thanks graham

Sounds like the fuser has developed a flat spot, thus the thumping noise as it prints and the jamming. This happens if the fuser rollers sit in one spot against each other for long periods. Replacing it will probably resolve your problem.
