I see numerous adapters available to make SCSI devices accessable via USB, but can't seem to find any that facilitate the reverse: getting a USB device attached to a SCSI port.
Specifically, our workhorse Phaser 740 is equipped with the standard Tektronix external SCSI drive that is (surprise) attached to the printer's SCSI port. The drive's enclosure contains a VERY noisy fan--in fact, it's the single noisiest piece of kit in the office! I'd love to take one of the nearly silent external USB drives we have around here and attach it to the 740 instead, but I can't find a solution/adapter that will enable attaching a USB peripheral to the 740's SCSI port.
Is this even possible???
