Phaser 740: Fuser Roll not rolling

We can do maybe half a dozen pages before we start to see ugly gray marks on the page. This is because the fuser roll is not rolling, but staying in the same place, getting dirty, and getting the page dirty. We work around it by opening up the front door, pulling out the fuser assembly, and rotating the fuser roll by hand. We would really really like to have this working normally again. Any ideas?

Hello anewc2. I too have the same problem. Someone out there must know what the problem. Will replacing the fuser work??
