Xerox wants $550 for a 20GB hard drive upgrade. That seems a little steep for what ends up being a 2.5" laptop IDE drive that can be had for $100. Unfortunately I hooked up a spare laptop drive on the printer and it doesn't work. It's either a jumper setting, hard drive format, or software preloaded on the drive. Does anybody have any expereince with the configuration of a printer hard drive?

By the way, I see several questions out here on Tektronix 840/850's. I just shut mine off as the 6250's replaced them. I'll be trying to sell them for cheap in the next 30 days if anybody is interested, plus all my leftover supplies. The print heads were even replaced in the last two months on both units (before I cancelled the maintenance contracts).

Thanks for any info.
