This is my second post concerning our phaser 6250dp. I was able to fix the last problem partially due to the replies I got here, so I thought I would try this one.

We recently replaced the imaging unit, but now are having a ghosting or fading problem. It repeats some of the text in black ink and fades other sections. I have been trying to clean it out, thinking dust ect was at fault. Any other suggestions? thanks in advance

I meant fading instead of smearing which I put in the title. there maybe a little smearing but mostly it is repeating text and fading it.

Do a half print. (stop the printer before the paper makes it into the fuser) If it looks good there then look at your fuser. If it looks bad there look at your immaging unit for any paper scraps stuck inside it or any defects. Check the back side of the immaging unit where the laser beam would come through and make sure none of the developer housings are bulged partialy blocking the laser.
