Phaser 6250 Failing to Recognize New Imaagine Unit

thread</a>, our printer is not recognizing the new Imaging Unit. We have replaced the Unit with two brand new ones and can't seem to get it to reseat. We tried to do the things recommended in that thread and are unable to locate the cogs. Apparently, we are retarded. Also, the Phaser is not under any warranty that we know of, so that defenestrates that option.

Take the left side cover off. You will see a white round gear and behind it is a toothed bar that goes up and down with the gear. Remove the round gear, the toothed bar will probably fall out, with the top open all the way set the toothed bar all the way up and reinstall the round gear. This should take care of your problem.
