Phaser 540Plus IP Address

Hi,

Does anyone have any instructions of how to setup the IP address of a Tektronix Phaser 540Plus from the front panel. I can force it to take an IP address from a postscript file, but am unable to figure out how to from the panel.

I have followed the instructions for a Phaser 550, but it doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas??

Try to use a nvram reset. you can do this from the panel
search for troubelshooting or configuration, one of bold shut have the option nv ram reset. be aware thad al setting will BE EREASED including the networkcard.
after this you instal your printer in to your pc and let your pc search your network for this printer. normaly he will find whone and installing it afterwords you he will give you his adres thad you can put in an internet browser where you have acces to your printer over your network.
inhere you can change whatever you like.

As the 540 did not have a built in Network card you will find that it cannot be set from the front panel. The postscript file is the best way & the Subnet mask & Gateway can also be set in this manner
