Phaser 540 issue

Hi all,

I have a Phaser 540 printer and with each printout on the bottom 3/4 of the page the toner is very light. This occurs with each colour. There is plenty of toner in each colour available. It started out as a semi circle of dull toner from the left edge of the paper spreading in to the midle, but now it goes from the bottom of the page to the top 1/4 of the page. The quality of the printout is still very good, but very dull.
Does something need cleaning or replacing?
