Hi

I hope someone can help me.
My Phaser 360 does the following:
When warming up and the printer gets into the 90% range it displays the message ink sticks jammed, so i open the ink bay cover and wiggle the sticks about, but i also notice that the ink melters are not hot as they sahould be so they can melt the sticks, so the sticks are not stuck as they should be.
Anyways this happens a few times before it finishes warming up and then the printer displays the following error: 09,008.43:74479.
Any help is kindly appreciated.

Thanks
Adam

That error points to the black ink melt heater, heater is on but ink is not dripping. 3 successive ink stick jams will create this error. there may well be a problem with teh heating element. You can check to see if the ceramic element underneath is intact or cracked. Replacing teh ink loader should resolve this problem.

This may be the heater, but I have also seen that when you do not use Tektronix brand wax, you get the same problem. I have a customer that wants to save money by buying the 3rd party wax. It appears to be a little harder than Tektronix brand wax. Hence, it takes more heat to melt the wax and you then get the error message.

This may not pertain to your problem, but I thought I would just throw it out there for you to feed off of.
