Hi,

I was getting the common Phaser 360 Fault 15,004.45:80398 and asked for advice on this from the forum a while back. It was corectly diagnosed as a drum heater problem. I then got a service manual off of e-bay and removed the drum heater fairly easily. The problem I have is that the cable for the drum heater seems to have been cut off at the heater end and I cannot locate the wiring loom for it or a socket it could have come from. Can anyone tell me where the drum heater plugs into on the printer as I need to re wire it. A strange on hope someone can help :)If I buy a new drum heate will it have the wiring loom with it. I'd like to avoid this if possible as it all costs money ;-)

There were 2 style drum heaters for the 360. The original was a coil like heater similar to a hair dryer that mounted to the fan on the side. These were replaced due to possible fire hazard with older styles found in the 340/350 which were mounted under teh drum behind teh preheater. Which do you have?

I have the older one that is a coil that is mounted between the fan and the drum.

Thx

It sounds to me that maybe your drum heater had already been replaced and they cut the wires from the old one. Look to see if you see wires fed through the chassis on teh right side under the fan assy. There should be 2 wires attached to a white connector and they attach to another white connector coming from the rear of the printer/power supply. if this is the case then the drum heater is on teh inside behind the preheater assy.
