I have a Phaser 360 that while well used, is new to me. It prints just fine etc.
Here's the rub though. While at idle, you randomly hear a clicking noise from the right side of the printer.
I pulled the cover to see where the noise is coming from.
It appears that the Y-Axis motor occasionally spins backwards causing the lower most of the exit gears to jump.
I can understand that occasionally the motor might need to spin in reverse, but randomly and frequently? The occurances are as close as a minute apart though sometimes longer.
Were it not so annoying, I wouldn't worry about it, and if ink were cheap, I'd shut the thing down when not in use.
What's the deal?
