I have a Phaser 360 I'm beating my head against with multiple problems.
When I first got the call to look at it, the complaint was a 05,002.42 error. I noticed the first time I powered it up that the error didn't appear right away, in fact I watched the thting for nearly an hour and saw that there was no ink melt. Eventually, I powercycled the printer and the error showed.
Cleaning and then replacing the drum position sensor had no positive effect. I replaced the power distribution board. This corrected the initial error but didn't solve the problems.
At this point I again had no ink melt after nearly an hour of warm up. For kicks and giggles I power cycled the unit a couple times and then it started to actually warm with ink melt and heater lamps owrking. Once it got to the 100% mark it varied between warming and intializing if memory serves. I tried cleaning the DM clutch, it didn't seem dirty or worn but I cleaned it anyway. No result. So I got a new one. I now am back to no ink melt.
I left the unit alone for well over an hour until it gave me the 24,003.11 Engine is stuck in mechanism initialization error.
I don't see any mechanical problems, when I power it on, motors run etc. Though the head does not always move from whateve position it's in. I can manually move everything without problems.
Oh, the tech manual for this thing is nearly useless.
