Phantom Station/Guest Mailbox

I have a Merlin Mail system and Legend system. I have a guest mailbox setup for callers to leave messages about a specfic topic. The extension works perfectly when a caller enters the extension number--the caller is transfered directly to the voice mail for the extension

However, according to the Merlin documentation, the system operator cannot transfer a call to a guest mailbox. The documentaion suggests setting up a phantom station for this process. However, I can't find many details for doing this.

Has anyone set this up before or have any ideas about the process to do it?

Go to sysrenumber, renumber adjunct, adjuncts usually start with 7300 depending on the setup of your system. Renumber to the extension of the mailbox. Now include that extension in voicemail coverage. Hope that works.
