6 analog lines.
all calls answered by AA and then transferred to appropriate group.
intermittently, calls will present to attendant phone. Phone will continuously ring (not forward to VM. IF answered, no one is there.
No complaints from any outside caller that they get disconnected or can't get through as desired.

I believe that it is outside callers that disconnect themselves and the call is remaining in the AA and gets dumped to the attendant phone. I have adjusted a few timers to try to negotiate this but with no luck. It's like the system is not recognizing the far end disconnect.

it's an annoyance they have been living with but I would love to help solve for them. any suggestions?

the service provider needs to have reliable disconnect enabled on the lines (sometimes called something different, but similar depending upon the provider). Could also be called disconnect clear. Bottom line is they are not recognizing when the caller has hung up so they keep the line open versus disconnect it.
