I've had a problem on my switch a G3Rv6, where all the phones just start ringing with no one on the line all over the office... the only thing I can do when this happens is to reboot the system (warm), I can't tell what is causing it, on the display, it just lists our local trunk name. There is no one on the line if you pickup. It has really caused some trouble, strangely it only happens on weekends about every 5-6 months or so. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Hi
I had the problem like this. It was connected with bad PCM trunk with incoming destination on different users.
When trunk was falled down all associated phones was ringing. Try to check your PCM trunks for bit error rates.
(Use command list measurements ds1 log "board" )

I just had a problem similar to this...

My attendant was getting calls from unkown name to the name of our trunk group. When they answered the call - nobody was there. This went on for 2 hours, until they called someone. What we found was we had a T1 removed awhile back, but the equipment was still plugged into the switch, and the LEC was sending a signal down the pipe, default destination = switchboard.

Removed all equipment, problem went away.

Hope you find it.
