To use as a forwarding point...I remembered though a couple of hours after I posted...build a key on a multiline set and then define it in Users menu. Would you agree?
It seems if I don't do something often or if I don't do it at least once a month...I forget how...
We usually add a phantom PKM to the switch room phone and assign phantom extension numbers on it for routing numbers in Call Routing. Make it a single line with No Ring. That will add the number to the Call Routing form.
kwbMitel...you are right, of course about providing more info (see what I mean about brain-dead)
I am wanting a forwarding point to forward a transfer path from my MLAA to an outside number. I built a Sys Speedcall entry and even though you can dial it and reach the desired number, the MLAA won't accept it and allow you to dial out of the system. So I figured I would build a phantom and forward it, and point the MLAA path to transfer to the internal extension.
Thanks kwbMitel. Yeah I built a top level mailbox 1 as a transfer and set the system speedcall extension as the extension but it failed to work...but I failed to check the COS or the COR (not using account codes...local anyway) of the voicemail...probably the can't-see-the-forest-for-the-trees syndrome again...
I guess I'm still using Nortel terminology, such as path...just got into Mitel in the last couple of years.
The voicemail MUST use account codes to dial out. This is a security feature that cannot be overridden.
The COS of the VM port must allow Non-Verified account codes. Also the account code length must be equal to the extension length of the ports. The VM must allow Public to Public connections and the Trunk COS must allow Public to Public.
Everything but the account code can be tested simply by programming a phone with the same COS and COR as a VM port and making a test call to the phone and seeing if the call can be transfered to the speedcall.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.
On second blush, I realise that by dialing via speedcall you are avoiding the requirement for account codes. As long as the speedcall is 7 digits or less.
The voicemail can dial up to 7 digits without requiring account codes.
Typically ARS would require an account code + 7 digits which would exceed the limit.
