Phantom MWI

Mitel 3300 4.1 and Nupoint VM, we are having an issue with the MWI on phones. The MWI will be flashing and no voicemail.Is there some kind of timer that would notify the phone that there was a message,even though the person may have hung up after one second or so, not leaving a message?

Two items to check. On the Nupoint, be sure the refresh MW is on. On the 3300, SYSTEM OPTION Superset callback timer set to NIL.

enable message waiting inquire in the COS of the phone and determine who the sender of the message is.
