phantom mailbox with message light on an extension

I have a callpilot 150 and need to create a mailbox so field reps can leave notes. It would be nice to get a message waiting light on the receptionist phone to notify of any messages. I try to ceate a mailbox but it only sets up as information and after the greeting it hangs up. the record time should be about five minutes for some long notes.

Sounds like you need to change the mailbox class.

You need a subscriber mailbox not an information. If when making a mailbox it does not allow you to make a subscriber MB then you need to add some keycodes to activate more subscriber mail boxes.And you can only have the MSG light show up a a phone that dosent already have a MB on it.Only one MB to a phone.

Actually you can put a XMWK key on a phone to get multiple message waiting indicators. This allows you to have a personal mailbox as well as a private mailbox indication.
