GroupWise 6 - we had 2 domains on 2 servers running groupwise 6. an administrator decided to remove the secondary domain since it wasn't needed anymore by unplugging the server and physically removing the machine. Now in console one I cannot remove the old domain since it cannot find the server. The server is long gone. I have successfully removed from NDS but the domain still appears in the GroupWise View. Any ideas on how to remove?

I had the same problem on a GroupWise 5.5 domain. What I did to remove the existing domain was to setup the directory structure on a different system and then edit all the domain agents to that structure. I then did a rebuild on that domain, once I did that I was able to delete the domain from Console One then remove the directory structures I created.

This procedure should work on a GroupWise 6 system as well but I have not had a need to do it. Theory is still the same.

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*

We just fixed the same issue, but we have a large number of domains. There is some grafting involved. We've worked extensively with Novell on this.

If you would email me at brigetta.brannon@state.co.us, I will forward the email to you.
