I have a quick edition that keeps getting phantom calls that say "unknown caller" in the display. They only have 4 incoming analog lines.

You are not quick enough with picking up the call :)

I do not have a clue to be honest.
I have heard about this many times but never heard about a solution.
The QE has been dropped.
You better use an IP Office and use the phones (can be converted)

i would try and reverse the polarity on them...

plug your test phone in each line on the NTTP 1 by 1 and see what polarity the lines are if they are wrong (i.e red) swap them.

phantom calls on analogue lines is nearly always this, especially if it happens about 10 - 30's after a caller puts the phones down from a call.
