Hello everyone,

I've loaded Windows 7 on my laptop. I'm receiving a PFN_LIST Corrupt error. The following appears after it reboots.

------------------------------------------------------
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 4e
BCP1: 00000007
BCP2: 00074D4C
BCP3: 00000001
BCP4: 00000000
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\102310-23400-01.dmp
C:\Users\Main\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-44444-0.sysdata.xml

-------------------------------------------------------
This usually happens when I'm on the internet and viewing online videos such as YouTube and Hulu.

I'm not sure what the error is. It was fine before I loaded Windows 7. The Windows upgrade adviser indicated that this computer would be compatible. It was upgraded from Vista Basic. How do I read the dmp file? What software do I use? Can you tell what the codes above are saying?

Thank you,
Chelsea

Two things you could do:

1. run a MemTest, e.g. place your W7 DVD into the DVD drive and boot from it, it has a MemTest app under the REPAIR options...

2. Update all DRIVERS to the latest, do not forget to update CODECS as well...

Look for updated Windows 7 drivers from the hardware manufacturers, or from the machine manufacturer, try and replace older Vista drivers with Windows 7 drivers.

See if other third party software or non Microsoft Services are causing the problem.

See how many unsigned drivers you have running on your machine. This article will guide you on the instructions but all you have to do is type sigverif in Start Run.
