Experienced Network Corel 11 user with problem opening some files produced by other network users. Similar to another bitmap - related issue (file copy temp error), but limited to files with greyscale bitmaps being opened on machines other than the originating one.
After much messing about, found it could be resolved by converting the original greyscale bitmap to RGB before saving. Opens fine on other machines, but convert it back to greyscale; and BLAM!
Error description: Corel crashes on attempting to open the file, followed by message:'Cannot find the file '*\**\***\***\*.cdr' (or one of its components). Make sure path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.'
Corel not too helpful so far. I have reinstalled, but no difference. Any ideas? (We don't want to fill up the network with unnecessarily large bitmaps...
