I would like to know if you can perform "hot backups" on a Pervasive database? If not, how are backups performed?

TIA

You can perform backups of open Pervasive/Btrieve files. You would need to use either an Open File Agent as part of your backup software or you would need to put the open files into Continuous Operations by using BUTIL -STARTBU. To take them out of Continuous Operations, use BUTIL -ENDBU.
