Pervasive throws support behind PostgreSQL

Any thoughts as to why Pervasive decided to start supporting PostgreSQL? Doesn't that compete with Pervasive.SQL?

Not really. Pervasive is more of an embedded database. PostgreSQL is more of a higher end "enterprise" level database. I've played with the Early Access version from Pervasive and while it's nice, I'll stick with Btrieve.
