I everybody...

My english is not good....

I have a problem with my access btrieve, it's very slow...
2 to 3 seconds to open or close native database...

My lan is windows nt, pervasive SQL 7 but i use native function to acces the files.

HELP !!!

Thank you

The fastest way to access btrieve files is via the transactional engine. If you ever wanted to upgrade I don't think the native function is supported. If you look at there are documents that deal with the different access methods.

The Btrieve API is supported through all versions of Btrieve/Pervasive. Pervasive.SQL 7 has an SQL interface that is no longer supported (XQL/Scalable SQL).

Btrieve is going to be the fastest access method.
