Pervasive.SQL 2000i Hot Fixes now available on Pervasive.com
The release of Pervasive.SQL 2000i SP4 in December of 2002 delivered a solid Pervasive.SQL platform for the entire Pervasive.SQL community. The reliability and stability of SP4 allowed us to focus our resources on the Pervasive.SQL V8 development effort and deliver an significant upgrade to the marketplace. This focus has paid off with Pervasive.SQL V8 providing the highest quality initial release that we have ever delivered. The result? The adoption rate of the Pervasive.SQL V8 upgrade has been significantly faster than any other upgrade in the past.
That said, Pervasive.SQL 2000i has been deployed in thousands of sites around the world, and we have received reports of some isolated issues that has required our Engineering team to deliver updates to some of our partners. The frequency or severity of these issues has not merited the release of an SP5 to Pervasive.SQL 2000i , but has created a need for a more efficient way of distributing these fixes to our partners who need them without requiring them to contact the Pervasive Customer Support.
To expedite access to these updates, we have released a set of Hot Fixes to Pervasive.SQL 2000i SP4 that will allow partners or end users experiencing these issues to download an update without having to contact Pervasive Customer Support. These Hot Fixes are available for all editions of Pervasive.SQL 2000i SP4.
In addition, partners that embed Pervasive.SQL 2000i SP4 as part of their software can use the Easy Updates feature introduced in SP4 to update their installs to automatically install these updates. If you would like more information on Easy Updates and how it works, documentation is available as part of the SP4 release and can also be found online in the Installation Toolkit section of the Developer Center at
