Pervasive Files disappearing

Hello Pervasive Geru's

I have now heard from two clients that Pervasive files are disappearing off their servers. One is running 2000i and the other 8.6, both client/server versions. Anyone else seen this?

What is strange is, one is running Norton Anti-Virus, and the other AVG.

Are the "data" files disappearing or are the Pervasive engine files disappearing?
I've seen where the data files "disappear" when the application recreates them even though they already exist.

How do you know the files have disappeared (error in the app, some other error, incorrect data, etc)?
