Hello All! I've just started working for a firm that is an ACCPAC VAR and I am trying to get comfortable with installing the software. After doing all the reading I thought was required, I thought I would install ACCPAC Advantage Enterprize 5.2A on a new user's PC. We are using Pervasive SQL 8.5.

After installing the Pervasive, I then installed System Manager, Lan Pak, GL, AR, AP, and Inventory. I can access the local sample DBs fine. However, the company DB resides on a server, and when I created the DB locally and then edited the properties to point to the server, I get the following message when I open ACCPAC:

"System error. Cannot access the applications table in the system or company database."

Using Pervasive' analyser, I get Error 45059

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
Thanx

I've never seen a 45059 error from any Pervasive tool.
I have seen, 4xxxx errors from ACCPAC that are ACCPAC specific errors. You'd need to find out what Pervasive error that maps to.
Also, what part of the Pervasive System Analyzer is giving the 45059?

Unforunately, no. I had rceived the following tip from another forum, the ACCPAC one:

Delete the local ODBC DSN's, run Accpac Database Setup, and point to the network folders.

Apparently, as Mirtheil pointed out above, it seems I was mistaken and was actualy in the ACCPAC program when I got that specific error.

Do any of the Pervasive Tools (like PCC or Function Exector) work? IF they don't, what error do they give?
THere may still be an underlying PSQL problem.
Is there anything in the PVSW.LOG (on both the client and the server)?

To access the local data you must be using the local Pervasive workstation engine. Are you using that same engine to access the server db or do you have Pervasive Server loaded?

How many accessing the Accpac on the server?
