Hi all

I just recently had to move my pervasive 9.1 server from a Windows XP machine to a Windows 2000 machine (This was due to the client connection limitation of 6 users on an XP machine) every thing works fine except that the speed of clients accessing the database has dramatically decresed, I owuld say its at least 4 times slower, my client PCs are all Windows XP.. Anyone come across this problem?

Haven't seen that particular problem. A few questions:
1. How have you measured the performance difference?
2. What interface does the application use?
3. Are you using a Workgroup Engine or a Server engine?
4. Have you considered updating to PSQL 9.5 SP2 (a free update) if you application supports it?
5. Have you tried using some of the Pervasive tools? Do they experience the same slowdown?

One suggestion, which I doubt will help but it's worth a try, would be to remove the SATEntry entries in the registry. The SATEntry entries would be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Pervasive SOftware\Communications Requester\Version 9\Settings.
You would remove all of the SatEntryX where "X" is a number. You would also need to change the NumSatEntries value to 0. All applications using PSQL would need to be stopped before changing the registry.
